Capt. Vangorder Dead.
A dispatch was received this morning announcing the death of Capt. Van Gorder. His body is expected here tomorrow. A meeting was held this morning and arrangements made or the proper reception and interment. He died on the 27th.
The Prisoners.
We have been shown a letter from Sergt. Robert F. Moffat, a prisoner in Columbia, S. C., dated the 8th inst. He says Capt. Cline and all the rest of the boys are well and in fine spirits. They are well treated by the rebels. They are all hoping to be exchanged soon.
